Thordon Bearings has won the 2025 Motorship Award for T-BOSS, the ship design which replaces a traditional sterntube with a space that allows inspection and maintenance of a seawater-lubricated bearing and seal arrangement from inside the ship.

The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (AEMT) was thrilled to return to Coventry on Thursday, November 20th, for its 8th Annual Awards Ceremony. This year’s event saw a near record number of entries across the eight categories, showcasing outstanding contributions from the electro-mechanical industry.

Valmet has been awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the company among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Valmet’s overall score was 82/100, six points higher than last year. The result places the company among the top two percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, bringing the company even closer to its goal, the Platinum Medal.

The Wilo Group has once again won the German Sustainability Award (DNP). The jury selected the multinational water technology group as the winner for the ‘Hydraulics, Pumps and Compressors’ industry, recognising, among other things, Wilo’s holistic focus on sustainable innovation.

Dr. Mattia Bartoli of the Italian Institute of Technology & Politecnico di Torino was presented with the IUVSTA EBARA Award (hereinafter, “the Award”) at the 23rd International Vacuum Congress (hereinafter, IVC-23), which was held in September by the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (hereinafter, IUVSTA), an organization sponsored by EBARA Corporation (hereinafter, “EBARA”).

The Wilo Group has been awarded the platinum medal by EcoVadis for the fourth time in a row. The rating agency also graded the multinational water technology group’s commitment to sustainability as “outstanding” for the second time. Only 1 per cent of companies audited by EcoVadis – now numbering more than 150,000 – achieve the platinum rating.

Niklas Ruf and Jana Spiller from Germany received the prestigious Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2025 for their work on developing a scalable flood warning system for small streams. H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden presented the winners with their award during a ceremony at Stockholm City Hall as part of World Water Week in Stockholm.

International technology group ANDRITZ has received the gold medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 5% of over 150,000 companies assessed worldwide for sustainability performance. At the same time, ANDRITZ is setting new ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) targets for 2030, having already surpassed most of its 2025 targets ahead of schedule.

The Networking Cube at the Wilopark in Dortmund, the market partner meeting centre of the multinational technology company Wilo, has been honoured with two prestigious awards. This striking building at the Wilo Group’s headquarters has received the German Brand Award in the “Excellent Architecture” category and the DGNB Gold Certification for its sustainable design.

Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG in Bargteheide has been awarded the EcoVadis gold medal this year. Having scored 78/100 points, the drive manufacturer is part of the top 4% of all globally rated companies while raising its score by 10 points compared to last year.
