The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announced the recipients of its prestigious awards, presented during the 2026 Annual Conference Awards Dinner on February 26, 2026, in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. These awards recognize industry professionals whose leadership, technical expertise, and dedication have significantly advanced both the Hydraulic Institute, Pump Systems Matter (PSM), and the broader pump industry.

The President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group, Oliver Hermes, has been honoured with the French National Order of Merit by decree of Emmanuel Macron. The French Ambassador to Germany, François Delattre, awarded the insignia of the Ordre national du Mérite at a ceremony in Berlin and honoured Oliver Hermes as a champion of Franco-German friendship and the European project.

The EsyBox Pop, the newest and smallest member of DAB Pumps’ EsyBox family, has received the prestigious iF Design Award 2025, a global mark of excellence that recognises outstanding design and quality.

David Kaminski, Vice President of QED Environmental Systems Inc., has received the Distinguished Individual Achievement Award from the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Landfill Gas and Biogas Technical Division in recognition of his transformative contribution to the industry. As one of the industry’s most prestigious accolades, SWANA’s annual awards honor innovation, dedication and leadership in the water and resource management sector.

Thordon Bearings has won the 2025 Motorship Award for T-BOSS, the ship design which replaces a traditional sterntube with a space that allows inspection and maintenance of a seawater-lubricated bearing and seal arrangement from inside the ship.

The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (AEMT) was thrilled to return to Coventry on Thursday, November 20th, for its 8th Annual Awards Ceremony. This year’s event saw a near record number of entries across the eight categories, showcasing outstanding contributions from the electro-mechanical industry.

Valmet has been awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the company among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Valmet’s overall score was 82/100, six points higher than last year. The result places the company among the top two percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, bringing the company even closer to its goal, the Platinum Medal.

The Wilo Group has once again won the German Sustainability Award (DNP). The jury selected the multinational water technology group as the winner for the ‘Hydraulics, Pumps and Compressors’ industry, recognising, among other things, Wilo’s holistic focus on sustainable innovation.

Dr. Mattia Bartoli of the Italian Institute of Technology & Politecnico di Torino was presented with the IUVSTA EBARA Award (hereinafter, “the Award”) at the 23rd International Vacuum Congress (hereinafter, IVC-23), which was held in September by the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (hereinafter, IUVSTA), an organization sponsored by EBARA Corporation (hereinafter, “EBARA”).

The Wilo Group has been awarded the platinum medal by EcoVadis for the fourth time in a row. The rating agency also graded the multinational water technology group’s commitment to sustainability as “outstanding” for the second time. Only 1 per cent of companies audited by EcoVadis – now numbering more than 150,000 – achieve the platinum rating.
