European Desalination Society (EDS) has announced its EDS 2027 conference and exhibition, “Water Resilience: Desalination, Recycling & Clean Water Solutions”. With England alone facing a possible public water supply shortfall of up to 5 billion litres per day by 2055, the event brings together industry and academic experts to explore desalination, water recycling and demand management as part of a resilient water-supply future.

Romania is facing a tremendous challenge: the country must expand its water supply while at the same time ensuring that drinking water reaches consumers through extensive pipeline networks in a hygienically safe condition. This puts a spotlight on a technology that has been used in drinking water treatment for more than 100 years: chlorine gas.

ACHEMA Middle East will now take place from 11–13 October 2027 at the new venue Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center. The decision supports stronger international participation, enhanced business opportunities and impactful launch edition for the region’s process industries.

The 11th edition of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW2026) concluded on a high note, drawing 2,000 delegates, including 800 leaders and 21,000 trade visitors from over 71 countries and regions to the Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 15 to 18 June 2026.

The Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2026 will bring together thought leaders, experts and practitioners from governments, cities, utilities and industry from 15 to 18 June 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore to address some of the world’s most pressing urban water and climate-associated challenges.

Instead of a sober industrial appearance, the Japanese company deliberately presented itself with cultural references to its own origins: consultants in kimonos, traditional design elements and Japanese specialities created an atmosphere that stood out clearly from the usual trade fair scene. However, the focus was on solutions for demanding tasks in dewatering and environmental technology.

Wilo can look back on a successful IFAT 2026. Welcoming several thousand international visitors at its booth at the Messe München exhibition centre, the multinational technology group presented sustainable and AI-integrated solutions for water management. At the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies, Wilo also welcomed numerous high-ranking political guests to exchange views.

In its 60th anniversary year— since 1966, IFAT Munich has been the global meeting place for environmental technology industry —the world-leading trade fair is celebrating new record figures. Around 3,400 exhibitors and some 142,000 visitors attended the trade fair from May 4 to 7, 2026. Companies from around 60 countries and regions showcased innovative solutions for water, recycling, and circularity across 300,000 square meters—offering answers to some of the most pressing global challenges.

For 60 years, IFAT Munich has been the global meeting place for environmental technologies. The next edition of the world-leading trade fair kicks off in just a few days, putting the spotlight for policymakers and industry on key future issues relating to water and raw material security. In 2026, IFAT Munich is not only attracting significant attention from business and politics, but also offering a diverse program with more than 400 events addressing the most pressing issues of our time.
