Power Plants Will Spend $8 Billion for Valves In 2016

Power plant valve purchases will remain at a high level thanks to continued construction of new coal-fired power plants in China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan. Despite the fact that Japan was the host of the original greenhouse gas reduction convention (Kyoto Protocol), the country is planning 40 new coal-fired power plants.

Franklin Electric Reports Third Quarter 2015 Sales and Earnings

Franklin Electric reported third quarter 2015 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.45 compared to 2014 third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.50, a 10 percent decrease (see table below for a reconciliation of GAAP EPS to the adjusted EPS). In the third quarter of 2015, the Company s GAAP fully diluted EPS was $0.43, down 7 percent to the GAAP fully diluted EPS from the third quarter of 2014.

This purity is obtained with a combination of chemicals and physical process steps such as reverse osmosis (RO) and ion exchange.
