In the first nine months of 2016, currency-adjusted order intake decreased by 7.8%, compared to the same period in 2015. Order intake in the third quarter was impacted by normal seasonality, continued weakness in the oil and gas market, and timing of some orders.

Xylem reported second quarter 2016 net income of $71 million, or $0.39 per share, a decrease of five percent year-over-year reflecting debt refinancing costs and higher restructuring and realignment charges.

Pfeiffer Vacuum generated sales of € 222.9 million during the first half of 2016 while achieving an EBIT of € 26.9 million and a corresponding margin of 12.1 percent. This resulted in net income of € 18.7 million and led to earnings per share of € 1.89 for the first six months. The order intake during the reported period amounted to € 231.5 million.

GF kept in the first semester of 2016 its positive momentum. Sales reached CHF 1 863 million, 3 percent above the first six months of 2015. Adjusted for currency effects and acquisitions, growth stood at 2 percent. The operating result increased 20 percent to CHF 153 million.
