Water is not only important ecologically and economically, but particularly at international level has increasingly taken on a political role too. At the forthcoming edition of Wasser Berlin Internationalthe Blue Planet Berlin Water Dialogues will place the spotlight on resource efficiency where wastewater is concerned.

The next IFAT Eurasia will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from February 16 to 18, 2017. Alongside the trade fair, visitors can look forward to a technically demanding conference and supporting program that caters to the needs of the Eurasian environment market. Among the highlights are the Turkey country special on the first day of the trade fair. Discussions will include how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be implemented in Turkey.

The Hydraulic Institute introduces member company, Taco, Inc., as the latest company to have their pump test laboratory approved through the HI Pump Test Lab Approval Program. The approved pump test lab is located at the company headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Members of the Hydraulic Institute, Armstrong Fluid Technology, Grundfos, Taco Inc., WILO USA and Xylem Applied Water Systems participated on a 15 member Appliance Federal Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ASRAC) working group on circulator pumps.

In the coming year, the third Spaix User Conference will take place in Dresden. The conference focuses on the exchange of experiences, between the participants and the VSX staff, concerning the Spaix software solutions and the pump sales optimization. The introduction of the new version 5 of the pump selection software Spaix is another highlight in 2017.
