The next IFAT Eurasia will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from February 16 to 18, 2017. Alongside the trade fair, visitors can look forward to a technically demanding conference and supporting program that caters to the needs of the Eurasian environment market. Among the highlights are the Turkey country special on the first day of the trade fair. Discussions will include how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be implemented in Turkey.

The Hydraulic Institute introduces member company, Taco, Inc., as the latest company to have their pump test laboratory approved through the HI Pump Test Lab Approval Program. The approved pump test lab is located at the company headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island.

In the coming year, the third Spaix User Conference will take place in Dresden. The conference focuses on the exchange of experiences, between the participants and the VSX staff, concerning the Spaix software solutions and the pump sales optimization. The introduction of the new version 5 of the pump selection software Spaix is another highlight in 2017.

In February 2017, the international trade fair IFAT Eurasia will make the Turkish commercial capital Istanbul the hot spot of the Eurasian environmental technology industry.

As a highlight of the 2017 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), to be held next January 30 to February 1 in Las Vegas, the 2017 AHR Expo Innovation Awards ceremony has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 31.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the official opening of the 10th edition of the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), hosted by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok.

This three-day ‘City & Guilds’ course is specifically designed to assist non-electrical employees to prepare themselves for cross trade working, and to help companies comply with the requirements of current legislation regarding the use of such people for minor electrical tasks.

The technology group Voith is again stepping up its commitment in the African hydropower market. The company recently trained 20 employees from the Liberian electricity provider LEC (Liberia Electricity Corporation) for the Mount Coffee hydropower plant operation, which is scheduled to begin feeding power into the grid by early 2017 following an enhancing modernization. The comprehensive training will prepare employees, from technicians through to managers, to fulfil their individual responsibilities.
