On October 11, the second edition of IFAT India – International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling – concluded successfully, underlining itself as one of the leading platforms for environmental technology in India. Exhibitors and visitors were equally satisfied and confirmed the importance of this trade fair for the highly promising Indian market.

Hydraulic Institute (HI), in collaboration with the Fluid Sealing Association (FSA), is set to unveil the new ‘Gasket Principles & Best Practices’ two-part webinar series on November 4, 2014.

Although 2016 is still some way off, preparations for IFAT (May 30 to June 3, 2016 in Munich) are already under way. Applications from companies interested in exhibiting at the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies are now being accepted online.

The Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has presented its ten-point agenda for economic reform in the country. Based on this the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is forecasting a rise in Indian GDP to more than six percent by 2015.

IFAT Eurasia will be celebrating its premiere from April 16 to 18, 2015 at the Congresium International Convention & Exhibition Centre (CICEC) in Ankara. This trade fair for environmental technologies is being supported by government and businesses in both Turkey and abroad. Important companies such as Astim, BHS Sonthofen, Denìz Mühendìslìk, Ebro, Endress+Hauser, Krohne, Standart Pompa and Wilo will be represented at the show.

According to a post-show survey of several thousand industry professionals who attended the 2014 AHR Expo, 94% said they came to see “what’s new” in the marketplace. An additional 91% said attending the Show was an important way to look for new suppliers.

For the first time, along with Berliner Wasserbetriebe, the project team of Wasser Berlin International extended an invitation to attend the Ambassadors’ Day on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds and to visit the water treatment plant in Ruhleben and the International Club Berlin on 16 September 2014.

Water shortage is becoming an urgent and key sustainability topic. Demographic development, global availability imbalances and high leakage rates aggravate the issue.

Ebara Corporation, whose presence in Southeast Asia continues to grow, organized seminars on Flood Control Pumps in Thailand. This was the 24th time Ebara held seminars in cooperation with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This seminar attracted 48 participants: civil engineers and university personnel from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
