Atlas Copco Portable Energy has appointed two new Product Marketing Managers and a new R&D Manager to support the rapid expansion of its pump business. Ola Hällgren is now responsible for the development and marketing of electrical pumps and Joakim Cronstrand will oversee diesel pumps. Martin Lindskog is the new R&D Manager.

Parker Hannifin Corporation reported results for the fiscal 2015 second quarter ended December 31, 2014. Fiscal 2015 second quarter sales were $3.13 billion, a second quarter record, compared with $3.11 billion in the prior year quarter. Net income was $267.3 million, a 6 percent increase compared with $253.4 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2014.

Xylem announced the appointment of Anthony Milando as Senior Vice President for Continuous Improvement and Business Transformation, effective February 2, 2015. In this newly created position, Milando will be responsible for driving operational excellence and process simplification across the organization, reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Decker.

Global demand for fluid handling pumps is projected to increase 5.5 percent annually to $84 billion in 2018. In developed nations, an improved environment for fixed investment spending will enable pump-using manufacturers to invest in expansion and upgrade of facilities.

Crane reported fourth quarter 2014 earnings of $0.95 per diluted share, compared to $0.84 per share in the fourth quarter of 2013. Fourth quarter 2014 results included Special Items, net, of $11.0 million in after tax charges, or $0.18 per diluted share. Fourth quarter 2013 results included Special Items, net, of $11.9 million in after tax charges, or $0.20 per diluted share.

On the occasion of the Neftegaz 2014 in Moscow, an independent survey by the Russian Ministry of Energy selected Hermetic-Pumpen as the Russian oil and gas industry’s best centrifugal pump manufacturer for 2014. This is a confirmation of winning this award already in 2013.

Collins Pipe & Supply announced that they have successfully finalized an agreement for the acquisition of the assets and staff of Eastern Massachusetts-based Power House Supply. The acquisition was finalized on Thursday, January 1 for an undisclosed amount, with a plan for all of the Power House employees to remain in place to manage and operate the new Collins location.
