The Winners of the 2022 AEMT Awards were announced during a Gala Presentation Ceremony in Coventry. With a near record attendance, from right across the electrical and mechanical trades arena, the evening once again proved to be a wonderful evening of reward and celebration.

The Danish-German Chamber of Commerce has named Danfoss as ‘Danish Company of the Year’ in Germany. The award was presented for Danfoss’ long-standing efforts in the German market, where the company continues to contribute to the green transition through sustainable production and technological developments.

Wilo’s smart factory at the company’s headquarters in Dortmund has been awarded “Factory of the Year 2022.” The multinational technology group won one of the most prestigious industrial awards in Europe in the “Outstanding Transformation: Digitalisation” category.

Vacuum equipment specialist Leybold UK, based in Chessington, Surrey, has won the Composites UK 2022 Industry Awards in the Social Impact category. The award was announced and presented to Leybold on the evening of 2 November at the Composites UK Awards Dinner at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Leybold UK, based in Chessington, UK, has made it onto the shortlist for the Composites UK 2022 Industry Awards in the Social Impact category. The industry association aims to recognise those companies whose results improve people’s lives and support society. The award honours companies active in the composites industry across the UK.

The Association of Electrical & Mechanical Trades (AEMT) is delighted to be returning to the West Midlands on the evening of Thursday 17th November for the staging of its 5th Annual Awards Ceremony. With a record number of submissions across the seven categories, this year’s programme has again produced some truly exceptional entries from right across the electro-mechanical arena.

Annabelle M. Rayson from Canada receives the prestigious 2022 Stockholm Junior Water Prize for her research on how to treat and prevent harmful algae blooms. HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden announced the winner during a ceremony at World Water Week in Stockholm.

On 18 August 2022, Dr.-Ing. h. c. Jochen Opländer was ceremoniously awarded honorary citizenship of the City of Dortmund. During the ceremony at the Konzerthaus Dortmund, Mayor Thomas Westphal presented him with an honorary citizenship certificate and a ring of honour from the city.
