Sundyne Corporation Sold Canned Motor Pump Line

14.10.2005

Sundyne Corporation has sold its Sundyne Canned Motor Pump (SCMP) product line to Nikkiso Pumps America, a subsidiary of Nikkiso Co., Ltd of Japan. The transaction is ...

... a culmination of a continuing and long-standing relationship between the two companies, and specifically includes Sundyne's rights to the manufacture and sale of SCMPs in North and South America.

The sale of the SCMP product line capitalizes on Nikkiso's competitive canned motor technology and cost structure, while retaining the strength of the Sundyne sales channel. Nikkiso intends to keep in place the established SCMP representative network, ensuring a high level of consistency in service for existing customers. Meanwhile, the sale will allow Sundyne Corporation to redirect assets to core product lines.

"This is a win-win for our customers, our representatives, Sundyne, and Nikkiso. We firmly believe this is the best possible solution for continuing to bring this product to the marketplace," said Sundyne Corporation President Phil Ruffner. "We are fully committed to supplying our customers with exceptional sealless products, and will be providing assistance to Nikkiso during the transition. At the same time, we will continue to actively market our HMD/Kontro, Ansimag, MagMax and Caster pump lines, and this transaction will allow us to focus our resources accordingly."
