Reich Couplings Complying With the New ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
For more than 20 years, the name of ATEX has been synonymous with European directives for explosion protection addressing manufacturers and users of equipment or protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. A revised edition, the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, was released a few months ago.

Explosion protection is a key aspect in product safety. Many explosion-related accidents can be avoided in companies and facilities if sources of (ignition) hazards are detected in time and protective measures are taken.
Reich couplings complying with the new ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, such as the Arcusaflex and Multi Mont brands, are now available with immediate effect. Safety has always been a main focus of Reich-Kupplungen in their objective to protect persons (like equipment users, machine operators and others) working in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Explosion protection is a concern common to all manufacturers and users. Providing preventive explosion protection is the duty of the manufacturers and designers of machines and equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The transition to the new ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU became effective on 20 April, 2016. Reich-Kupplungen have upgraded their products in line with the current directive. The Arcusaflex and Multi Mont series thus meet the current requirements and comply with the latest state of the art.
