Following a series of successful trials in both the U.S and U.K., the MicroPurge MP100 is set to join the company’s comprehensive range of groundwater sampling solutions.

The MP100 system can produce flow rates of up to 1,500ml per minute and lifts up to 9 meters (30 feet) using standard silicone tubing sizes. The MP100 features an efficient motor and pump head, offering precise flow control from zero to maximum to grant the user maximum control over the purging and sampling process.

David Kaminski, Senior Vice President at QED Environmental Systems, said: “Our new MicroPurge MP100 system has been designed with the user in mind. Every aspect of the pump – from the choice of materials to the battery life – has been designed for practical operation in the field. We have received excellent results from field testing both in the U.S. and the U.K, so look forward to seeing how this is received by the wider market.”

The new pump is ideally suited for sampling PFAS, due to the water sample only making contact with the drop tubing in the well. The MP100 is offered with disposable pump tubing and drop tubing for portable applications, or can be configured with an available well cap and tubing weights for dedicated applications.

QED’s new peristaltic pump has been specially designed for operation in the field, with a rugged, high-strength molded case for added protection. The brushless DC motors offers a long battery life with low power consumption, allowing more work to be completed between charges, while the voltmeter on the panel allows battery charge status to be checked at a glance.
