“By strengthening our position in Japan, we are starting a new chapter in one of the world’s most important technology markets. Japan is characterised by a high level of innovation and a strong focus on forward-looking technologies. This fits in perfectly with our strategic direction”, explains Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group. “Through our Group Strategy, ‘Pioneering WATER AI for You’, we combine water technology and AI. By expanding our presence in Japan, we are laying the foundation for bringing this solution expertise to the market in an even more targeted manner.”
The Wilo Group had already announced its entry into the Japanese market at the start of the year. According to the company, the establishment of the new company and the opening of the office are the result of a series of strategic initiatives through which Wilo has gradually expanded its market presence over the course of the year. The group sees great potential in this East Asian country, particularly with regard to the semiconductor industry and the construction of data centres and AI technology parks.
“Japan is a key component of our growth strategy for the AMEA region. With Wilo Japan, we are combining the strength of our international network more closely with local market expertise”, says Jens Dallendörfer, Regional CEO of Wilo AMEA. “This enables us to better understand the needs of our customers and partners on the ground, to strengthen our collaboration and to develop our business in a targeted manner.”
The new office in Yokohama will serve as the local base for Wilo’s activities in Japan. It is intended to strengthen the company’s local presence and provide a foundation for the company’s continued development in the market.
“The opening of our new office in Yokohama marks an important milestone for Wilo in Japan. It enables us to work more closely with our customers and partners, better understand their specific needs and deliver solutions tailored to the Japanese market,” says Yusuke Hanada, Country Director of Wilo Japan. “Together with our local team and the global Wilo network, we look forward to building long-term partnerships and expanding our presence in Japan.”
