This result was announced at the INKA award ceremony at Bregenz Festival House in Austria on March 19. The jury particularly praised the excellent design and the clear product descriptions.
In his laudation for Pfeiffer Vacuum, the winner in the "print" category, jury spokesman Sven-Ole Binder emphasized the steady further enhancement of the catalog. "For the judges, it was very exciting to see how a company with an already pioneering print appearance managed to significantly improve it even more."
Dr. Matthias Wiemer, Pfeiffer Vacuum management board member: "Our catalog reflects the entire Pfeiffer Vacuum product diversity and serves as an expert guide to the subject of vacuum. We are very proud of this award!"
The competition presents awards to companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland for outstanding catalogs for technical products. The organizer of the competition and the associated initiative "INKA - Industry. Catalogs. Communication." is Tanner AG, the service provider for technical communication.
The catalog entries were subjected to a multi-level evaluation process. First, a team of experts from Tanner AG analyzed catalogs on the basis of more than 200 individual criteria. Then the nomination lists were drawn up on the basis of the points awarded. All catalogs on these shortlists were judged by an independent jury. The seven jury members from industry, design, marketing, production, and research/education finally established the winners of the "INKA" 2013 Awards.
