Wärtsilä Appoints Roger Holm to Lead the Marine Solutions Business

Mr Roger Holm (43) M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed President of Marine Solutions, Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Management of Wärtsilä Corporation, effective 1 November 2015. In this position, he is responsible for Wärtsilä s Marine Solutions business globally, and will report to President & CEO Mr Jaakko Eskola.

    Ebara held seminars on industrial water pumps from August 27 to September 2, at Bangkok Thailand. This was the 25th time Ebara held seminars in cooperation with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). A total of 36 participants attended from Southeast Asian water supplier’s engineers, civil engineers, etc.

    Pentair to Propose Expansion of its Board to Include Trian’s Ed Garden

    Pentair announced that it will recommend to its shareholders that they approve a resolution at its 2016 annual general meeting of shareholders to increase the size of its Board by one director and will appoint Ed Garden, Chief Investment Officer and a Founding Partner of Trian, to the Pentair Board to fill the resulting vacancy.

    Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory is an independent non-for-profit sea turtle rehabilitation facility and marine life education center based in Panacea, Florida. The organization has been studying endangered species, conducting research in mariculture, as well as playing an integral role in marine research programs across the United States, Canada and Europe since 1963. Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory also provides marine education to 20,000 school children each year.
