  • Voith Trains the Staff of its Customer, Liberia Electricity Corporation

    The technology group Voith is again stepping up its commitment in the African hydropower market. The company recently trained 20 employees from the Liberian electricity provider LEC (Liberia Electricity Corporation) for the Mount Coffee hydropower plant operation, which is scheduled to begin feeding power into the grid by early 2017 following an enhancing modernization. The comprehensive training will prepare employees, from technicians through to managers, to fulfil their individual responsibilities.

    Bredel Pumps Replace Piston Pumps on Cement Slurry Projects

    Bredel hose pumps from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) have replaced piston pumps on a series of prestigious €1.8 million concrete grouting projects performed in seas around the Chinese coastline. A total of 90 Bredel pumps have been ordered for drawing the abrasive cement/sand/water slurry from the mixing tanks into the holds of the seafaring vessels, and for metering the grouting accordingly.

In order to let schoolchildren and other interested visitors find out about every aspect of this important resource, at Wasser Berlin International 2017 Messe Berlin is organising the 13th edition of WASsERLEBEN, an interactive exhibition.
