Maag Pump Systems Textron Adds Instrumentation to its Product Portfolio

29.10.2002

Maag Pump Systems Textron, the world leader in polymer pump and filtration systems, has announced that it will add a complete line of pressure transducers and melt temperature sensors to its already successful product portfolio.

The Maag Pump Systems Textron team will incorporate the new product offering in conjunction with its existing array of products for the plastics market.

"By adding reliable instrumentation systems for melt pressure and temperature, we continue our long-term strategy to serve the plastics market with a complete system for melt handling and filtration. Our close relationships within this market will enable us to increase our customer offering. Our customers are looking for process suppliers, and Maag Pump Systems Textron is that supplier. We are committed to enhance and accelerate our service and after sales response to our customers through the Maag global network team. Instrumentation and system integration is a key factor for enhancing the reliability of many extrusion processes, and we have always felt that we needed to add the measuring and control features into our product and service range," said Dr. Frank Brinken, CEO, Maag Pump Systems Textron.

The new range of pressure transducers and melt temperature sensors are available in metric and US standard sizes. The new product will be available starting late this summer. Maag will start taking orders in early September and plans on shipping the product as early as mid-September. Maag's transducers will be sold either as part of a package deal or as a stand-alone. The cost of the new product is competitive to other brands, but it sports the same high-product quality the market has come to expect from the Maag name.

"I am happy to offer such an addition to our complete processing systems package," adds Dr. Jürg De Pietro, Maag's Global Sales Director. "This is something our global customer base has wanted for a long time. The new transducer is expected to increase our service market offerings with a superior product. Our highly skilled service engineers take pride in helping customers get back on track after a process problem, and with high quality products such as this one, it means our customers have a greater satisfaction with our company as a whole," De Pietro added.
