Katharina Schlegel, Project Director of the IFAT international trade fairs at Messe München, explains: “Alongside African exhibitors, a large number of European companies will also be represented. We are especially pleased to have gained seven new countries this year.” Among the new exhibitors are companies from Austria, Botswana, France, Ghana, Kenya, Spain and Turkey. All in all, more than 140 exhibitors are taking part on an exhibition area of around 5,000 square meters.

Meeting point for the industry

Numerous delegations highlight the importance of IFAT Africa beyond the borders of South Africa. Visitor delegations from China, Ghana, Italy, Mozambique and Zambia are expected, as well as a delegation from Sub-Saharan Africa, which the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is organizing for its alumni network.
