Flowserve Corp. Names John H. Jacko, Vice President of Marketing

27.01.2003

Flowserve Corp. (NYSE:FLS) announced that John H. Jacko Jr. has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president, Marketing and Customer Management for the corporation. In his new duties, Jacko will report to C. Scott Greer, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Jacko, who joined the organization in November 2001, formerly was vice president, Marketing for the Flowserve Pump Division.

"As John consolidates the marketing efforts historically conducted by the individual business segments into a unified Flowserve marketing strategy, we anticipate the outcome will significantly improve Flowserve's cross-divisional opportunities as we seek to expand our relationships with end-user customers," said Greer. "A chief element of this strategy will be for John to help develop the value proposition for providing customers with a full-scale `Flowserve solution,' which includes Flowstar,(R) our proprietary remote monitoring system."

Jacko brings more than 20 years of customer facing experience in high technology companies to his new role. Jacko came to Flowserve from Honeywell International Inc. where he was vice president of Customer and Product Support for its $5 billion-plus Engine & Systems division of Honeywell Aerospace. Before that assignment, he was director of Marketing, Sales and Service for a $1.2 billion division.

Prior to his leadership position with Honeywell Aerospace, Jacko was vice president of Sales and Service for the $1.6 billion division of AlliedSignal Aerospace. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and engineering positions within Textron Lycoming, based in Stratford, Conn.

Jacko earned an MBA from the University of New Haven in 1988 and a BS in Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1979.
