1. Background and Objectives
RBA is the world’s largest industry alliance dedicated to responsible business conduct in global supply chains, particularly in the electrical industries. EBARA upholds the RBA Code of Conduct and works together with suppliers and business partners to ensure compliance since 2019.
The VAP audit is an assessment conducted by an independent third-party audit firm certified by the RBA, to evaluate whether a company’s business practices comply with the RBA Code of Conduct. Based on the evaluation score, a recognition status is granted. EBARA took this audit with the aim of improving our credibility and corporate value through an objective audit.
2. Overview
This VAP audit was conducted at the Kumamoto Plant, which manufactures semiconductor production equipment including EBARA’s core product, the CMP system. The audit recognized that the plant appropriately manages and operates across five key categories: “Labor,” “Health and Safety,” “Environment,” “Ethics,” and “Management Systems.” As a result, the plant earned a perfect score of 200 points (with no non-conformance), achieving the highest recognition.
3. Future Prospects
The EBARA’s Precision Machinery Company continues to improve its CSR efforts with the RBA Code of Conduct as its core principle. Moving forward, we will continue our dialogue with suppliers and business partners to practice responsible business activities throughout the supply chain and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
