Dean Douglas Named President of Pump Solutions Group

Dover Fluid Management, a segment within Dover Corporation, announced today that it has named Dean E. Douglas to the position of President of Pump Solutions Group (PSG). In this position, Douglas will report to Soma Somasundaram, Executive Vice President of Dover Fluid Management.

PSG is compromised of six of the world’s leading pump manufacturers: Blackmer, Wilden, Almatec, Mouvex, Neptune and Griswold.

Dean also has extensive experience in implementing global growth initiatives and proven go-to-market strategies that will help PSG move forward.”

Douglas brings 20 years of pump-industry expertise to his new position at PSG. For the past seven years, he has held the position of President and CEO of Peerless Pump Company, Indianapolis, IN, a position to which he ascended after five years as Peerless’ Executive Vice President of the Pump Division. Peerless is a member of the Grundfos Corporation, Bjerringbro, Denmark.

Prior to joining Peerless Pump Company, Douglas held numerous positions with the Sulzer Group, Winterthur, Switzerland. He began his career in the automotive industry with Oakland, MD-based Garrett Automotive Group’s Allied Signal subsidiary (now part of Honeywell International, Inc.).

Douglas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State University-Dominguez Hills and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Dean is also a member of the Hydraulic Institute’s Board of Directors.
