Change in Georg Fischer Executive Committee

Jürg Krebser, Head of GF AgieCharmilles and for 14 years a member of Georg Fischer’s Executive Committee, will, at his own request, relinquish his post on 1 August 2008. He will be succeeded by Michael Hauser, who will also join the Executive Committee.

Jürg Krebser will lead important projects associated with the further strategic development of the Corporation, primarily in Asia.

Jürg Krebser was born in 1948 and has many impressive achievements to his credit since he joined GF in 1990. He initiated and implemented crucial changes at GF Piping Systems and GF AgieCharmilles, and as such has helped to secure GF’s long-term success. Michael Hauser, currently Head of the Technology Unit Milling and of Marketing and Sales Support at GF AgieCharmilles, has driven forward the expansion of the milling business energetically and with great success over recent years. Michael Hauser was born in 1961 and is a German national.

Since completing his business studies at the University of Mannheim in 1988, he has held various management posts in the machine tool industry, including four years in Italy. In 1996 he became Head of the Mikron Group’s milling machines business unit, which was subsequently acquired by

GF AgieCharmilles in 2000. Michael Hauser became Head of the Technology Unit Milling and of Marketing and Sales Support at GF AgieCharmilles in 2004. He has established the high-speed machining business as the global market leader and played a central role in the successful

amalgamation of the Agie, Charmilles, and Mikron brands. He is also President of Swissmem’s Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology group and a member of the Board of CECIMO, the European Committee for Cooperation of the Machine Tool Industries.

The Board of Directors and Executive Committee would like to thank Jürg Krebser and Michael Hauser for their dedication to the company to date and to wish them every success in their new positions. Parker Hannifin has launched its latest process to instrument valve that fully conforms to EEMUA 182. The new range of EP Series Pro-Bloc valves, manufactured at its globally recognised, lean model plant in Barnstaple, Devon in the UK, has a double block and bleed function and consists of two separate isolating balls and one vent in a single unit. The valve is also available in a block and bleed arrangement.
