Atlas Copco Group to Complement Industrial Pumps Portfolio with Acquisition of External Gear Pumps Manufacturer

Atlas Copco Group has agreed to acquire KRACHT GmbH (Kracht), a manufacturer of high-quality technologies including external gear pumps, fluid measurement, valves, hydraulic drives, and dosing systems.

Kracht was founded in 1911 and has its headquarters in Werdhol, Germany. The company has subsidiaries in US, China and Hungary, and approximately 440 employees. In 2022, Kracht had revenues of approximately 72 MEUR (766 MSEK*).

“Last year, we acquired LEWA and Wangen, and we are now further expanding our portfolio within positive displacement pumps with additional technologies,” said Andrew Walker, Business Area President Power Technique. “The industrial pump segment has been identified as a strategic fit for the Group. This acquisition will be a further step for us within this segment, which plays a crucial role within many industries.”

The purchase price is not disclosed. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024. The business will become part of the Power and Flow Division within the Power Technique business area.
