Allweiler Exhibition for Pumps in Power Generation

01.08.2005

On September 16, Allweiler will host a specialty trade fair at their Radolfzell headquarters in southern Germany. The exhibits and presentations will focus on applications for pumps and ready-to-use components in power plants.

The event is aimed especially at power plant builders, suppliers of power plant components, planners, and operators in Germany and other countries. The company expects as many as 400 visitors.

The core of this full-day event will be special solutions for the entire liquid-fuel supply chain and turbine auxiliary systems in power plants. Allweiler has been producing pumps and complete ready-to-use components for the power-generating industry for decades. Pump units are essential along the entire fuel supply chain, beginning with the discharge station, continuing with storage tanks, fuel preparation systems, and finally delivery of the fuel to the injection system. The company also produces specialty pumps for auxiliary systems (like lube-oil and sealing-oil supply systems) used in turbines, gearing, compressors, and generators, in addition to special units for water injection systems in gas turbines.

Presentations on technical subjects will be repeated throughout the day in both German and English to supplement the pump demonstrations. Plant tours will also give visitors direct insight into how Allweiler pump units and components are made. Workshops held by the service department will show how pumps are disassembled and assembled in order to detect common forms of damage early and replace wearing parts quickly.

The specialty trade fair will take place at Allweiler’s Radolfzell plant in southern Germany. This is the company’s headquarters and its largest production site. Allweiler also invites all guests to attend a get-together party at the plant on the evening before the event. For more information, please send an email to powergen@allweiler.de.
