2013 AHR Expo Innovation Awards – Call For Submissions

08.08.2012

Entries are now being accepted for the 2013 AHR Expo Innovation Awards.

Recognized as one of the most prestigious honors in the HVACR industry, the Awards are bestowed on the most innovative new products on display at the world’s leading HVACR event, which will take place January 28-30 at the Dallas Convention Center.

Created by ASHRAE, AHRI and AHR Expo, the Innovation Awards promote and encourage new product development in 10 major HVACR categories. A panel of judges selected by ASHRAE will review the entries submitted by exhibitors, and evaluate them based on their innovative design, application, market impact and value to the industry. The categories for the awards are:

  • Building Automation
  • Cooling
  • Green Building
  • Heating
  • Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
  • Refrigeration
  • Software
  • Tools & Instruments
  • Ventilation
  • Plumbing

Winners of the Innovation Awards will be honored at a special ceremony during the Show in Dallas. The winning exhibitors will receive special placards to place in their booths at the Show, as well as an award to display at their company headquarters. Among the 10 winning entries, one entry will be selected as the 2013 AHR Expo Product of the Year.

Exhibitors who wish to enter the Innovation Awards competition may submit one product per category, however winners from the previous year may not resubmit the same product.

Entry Fees Donated To Local Charity

All entry fees collected for the AHR Expo Innovation Awards will be donated to a local charity in the Dallas area. The donation of the entry fees serves as a way for AHR Expo and its Co-Sponsors to ‘give back’ to the community in which the Show takes place. To date, more than $100,000 has been donated to a variety of charitable organizations across the country. Last year’s recipient, Metropolitan Family Services of Chicago, received nearly $12,000.

“We are pleased that the Innovation Awards have become such a valuable and prestigious honor for the HVACR industry,” said Clay Stevens, President of International Exposition Company, which produces and manages the AHR Expo. “Not only do the awards recognize the various innovations in the industry, but they also benefit charitable organizations in local communities.”

The 2013 AHR Expo is endorsed by 35 of the leading HVACR industry associations and is co-sponsored by the ASHRAE and the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). The Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) is an honorary sponsor. ASHRAE s Winter Conference is held concurrently with the AHR Expo each year.
