Four More Companies Sign-Up to the BPMA

The British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), which represents the business interests of UK and Irish suppliers of liquid pumps and pump related equipment, has signed another four companies into membership.

One of the latest companies signing up to enjoy the many benefits is Leicester based NT Cloke Pumps & Water Ltd.  Specialists in the installation, service repair and maintenance of booster sets, pressurisation systems, tanks & vessels, the company draws on 20 years of industry knowledge and expertise.  It prides itself on technical know-how and problem solving for clients in heating, water supply, process, and wastewater applications.

Commenting on its membership, Managing Director, Nicholas Cloke said: “We are proud to be joining such a highly regarded organisation as the BPMA, which further supports and underpins our goal of providing expert pumping solutions.”

Another company to realise the benefits presented through membership of the BPMA is Michael Smith Engineers Ltd.  Formed in 1971 as a specialist pump distributor, with its head office is in Woking, Surrey, and a satellite office in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, the company provides service and support to customers throughout the United Kingdom. The markets served with a range of larger pumps include the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and process sectors, whilst the requirements of laboratories, research and development institutions and OEMs are served with a broad range of smaller pumps.

Combined Pumps Ltd has also signed-up to become a fully-fledged member of the BPMA in recent weeks. Specialising in chemical injection, pressure testing and fluid transfer the company has been in the pump business for more than 20 years, offering unique pumping solutions through its range of specially designed, engineered, and manufactured pump systems.  Operating from its ISO 9001 accredited facility in Aberdeen, the business is keen to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to both quality and certification processes.

Managing Director, Eric Stamper, said: “Combined Pumps are proud to be accepted as members of this longstanding professional organisation, and we look forward to realising the benefits of being part of such a great society.”

The fourth company to align itself to the BPMA, and display its pump credentials is Oxford based, Impact Pumps Ltd.  Its flagship product, the Impact Pump SLX-40, is described as “a submersible pump with a difference”. It allows surface pumps to lift water from beyond the suction limit - up to 25 metres, with instantaneous flow rates up to 2000 litres per hour.  In tandem with its sister company, Thermofluidics Ltd, the business has designed and developed a portfolio of technologies and now has a range of water pumping solutions to address a variety of challenges in the Agricultural, Domestic and Community Water sectors, globally.

In welcoming all four companies into membership, Steve Smith, Assistant Director and Operations Manager at the BPMA said: “We are delighted that these companies have identified the value of membership and look forward to providing each of them with all the support and encouragement at our disposal.”

He continued: “Despite the commercial challenges brought about by the pandemic, it’s gratifying to know that our package of member benefits is still being well received by both existing and new members alike.”
