DESMI Annual Report 2019 – The result of 2019 is considered very satisfactory
The year shows a strong top and bottom line growth, and the results for 2019 are considered very satisfactory. The result will further consolidate the group with DKK 100 million and a dividend amounting to DKK 130 mill will be paid to the shareholders.
“We are very pleased with the progress we made in 2019, and I would like to thank all our dedicated colleagues for their contribution. It was a strong year where we experienced growth in the core business, especially driven by delivery of pumps for scrubber systems and demand for our Ballast Water Management Systems.
Scrubber systems clean vessels exhaust gas before the emissions are released into the atmosphere, and Ballast Water Management Systems clean the ballast water in order to avoid the spread of unwanted invasive species.
We will continue to leverage our solid financial position by investing in initiatives that will allow us to win market shares and enable long-term growth”, said DESMI Group CEO, Henrik Sørensen, and continues:
“In 2019, DESMI Group continued its sustainability efforts to create a positive impact on the environment. In DESMI we are achieving sustainability by designing and providing high-efficient pump solutions for all DESMI’s segments and applications, Ballast Water Management Systems, and ”waste to wealth” solutions for removing plastic waste and trash from waterways”.
The positive development of DESMI Group in 2019 is expected to stabilize in 2020, even after taking into consideration the coronavirus outbreak and resulting market uncertainty. This is expected to be achieved by the organization’s continuous commitment to provide efficient pumps, sustainable solutions at competitive prices supported by a global service organization.
