The Turbomachinery Laboratory of the Texas A&M University announces the program of the 20th International Pump Users Symposium, coming up March 17-20, 2003 in Houston, Texas.

Friday 18 October 2002 was the closing day of the ninth edition of Pumps & Valves, an exhibition for industrial pumps, control valves, shut-off valves, services, and accessories. There is now a break of two years. 4813 professionals visited the exhibition and its 192 exhibitors which occupied halls 1, 2, and 3 of the Bouwcentrum. The seminar themes also proved very popular with the visitors.

ISH North America’s 2002 event held in Toronto from October 31 to November 2 exceeded expectations at its grand premiere. Show organizers Messe Frankfurt, Inc. report that 10,735 attendees packed the aisles of the National Trade Centre at Exhibition Place during the three-day event.

It is expected that the 18th Pollutec, to be held in Lyons (France) from 26th to 29th November 2002, will break all records for participation. Two months before it opens and despite two expansions in area of nearly 10,000 gross square metres, the show is virtually full and has exceeded the forecast of 5% growth compared with the 2000 show. There will be a total of 2,250 exhibitors.

WEFTEC 2002, the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) 75th annual technical and educational conference, attracted a record-breaking attendance of 18,704 during last week’s event. Held September 28-October 2 in Chicago, IL, WEFTEC 2002 broke several attendance records, featured 793 exhibitors, covered 201,540 square feet of floor space, and received recognition as the most successful show at McCormick Place this year.

Aquatech 2002 had 23,366 visitors and confirmed its position as the world’s largest water technology and water management exhibition. It attracted more international visitors than the previous edition. No fewer than 109 countries were represented. Moreover, the number of visitors able to decide on purchases rose by 20%. The International Aquatech Innovation Award was presented during Aquatech to the firm of Waterblock for its ‘Watershell’ underground water storage system.

The Pumps & Systems China 2003 will be held in Shanghai from 1-4 July. For the 5th time, this successful biennial event will gather key industry players and open doors to the latest and most complete range of new technologies, products and services in this region.

For the 4th time the Pumps & Systems Malaysia 2003 will be held from 7-10 October 2003 in in Kuala Lumpur.
