In its 60th anniversary year— since 1966, IFAT Munich has been the global meeting place for environmental technology industry —the world-leading trade fair is celebrating new record figures. Around 3,400 exhibitors and some 142,000 visitors attended the trade fair from May 4 to 7, 2026. Companies from around 60 countries and regions showcased innovative solutions for water, recycling, and circularity across 300,000 square meters—offering answers to some of the most pressing global challenges.

For 60 years, IFAT Munich has been the global meeting place for environmental technologies. The next edition of the world-leading trade fair kicks off in just a few days, putting the spotlight for policymakers and industry on key future issues relating to water and raw material security. In 2026, IFAT Munich is not only attracting significant attention from business and politics, but also offering a diverse program with more than 400 events addressing the most pressing issues of our time.

Those who want to experience new drive technology usually go to a trade show. Flender is turning this principle on its head: Now the technology itself is traveling to customers. On April 20, 2026, the official kickoff for “AIQ on Tour” took place at the headquarters in Bocholt – and the AIQ truck rolled out of the company premises on its twelve-month European tour. The goal: to make condition monitoring accessible to everyone, true to the tour’s motto, “Condition Monitoring for everyone.”

On March 24, 2026, EBARA invited David Briel, Senior Managing Director of the Office of International Trade and Investment Promotion at the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), as well as Hiroyoshi Okayama, Representative of the Japan Investment Office at the DCED, to visit its Haneda head office and exchange opinions.

At this year’s IFAT, Herborner Pumpen will showcase tailored solutions for a variety of requirements in sewage technology. At its booth, the company is focusing in particular on the new Centurio modular wastewater pump.

The biennial trade fair for HVAC+R, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water systems closed its doors in Milan, drawing over 120,000 visitors from 123 countries and reaffirming its position as a leading global platform for the sector.

Europump, the European Federation of Pump Associations, has highlighted the strong support it receives from industry partners through its sponsorship programme, thanking the companies that support the association’s work throughout the year and its upcoming 2026 Annual Meeting in Frankfurt, Germany, from 27–29 May 2026.

Millions of people around the world do not have safe access to drinking water. In many regions, the infrastructure is stretched to its limits, particularly due to industrialization and the growing population. Lutz-Jesco supports communities and operating companies with modular technology to modernize their drinking water networks. At IFAT 2026 in Munich, the company will be presenting systems for the safe dosing of chlorine gas, as well as electrolysis systems that produce disinfectants from commercially available salt.

Pump manufacturer Tsurumi is using IFAT 2026 to strengthen its position in the sewage sector. One of the highlights is the CZ pump series, which has been so successful since its market launch at the last IFAT that it is now becoming the Japanese company’s flagship product.

Europump, the European Federation of National Associations of Pump Manufacturers, is pleased to announce that its 2026 Annual Meeting will take place from 27–29 May 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany. Hosted by the VDMA Pumps + Systems Association, the event will be held in parallel with the PNEUROP Plenary Meeting, offering a combined platform for industry discussion, knowledge exchange, and networking for pump and systems professionals.
