Kansas City Advances Fire Hydrant Leak Detection Technology

An acoustic fixed-base pipe monitoring technology that uses fire hydrants to host multi-sensor devices, has already found more than 30 leaks for Kansas City Water, says Lou Rossetti senior vice president of sales North America at Orbis Intelligent Systems. Non-revenue water loss in Kansas City, Missouri, is being driven down by a successful collaboration between the municipality and California-based technology company Orbis.

    Phosphorus Removal Options Explored in Collaborative Trials

    Alternative approaches to phosphorus removal at rural wastewater treatment works are being explored in an innovation project led by United Utilities. The ALT-P project, for which Spring Innovation is the knowledge-sharing partner, received funding through Ofwat’s inaugural Water Breakthrough Challenge in 2021. Working alongside United Utilities are project partners Southern Water, Wessex Water, University of Portsmouth, Power & Water, Kolina, Hydro Industries and Evergreen.

    NPCC Awards Amarinth Another Major Order for API 610 OH2 Pumps

    Amarinth, has once again secured an order from NPCC for API 610 OH2 pumps destined for ADNOC’s Lower Zakum facility in the UAE. When ADNOC sought new closed drain pumps for the Main Gas Pipeline project, a component of its Lower Zakum Long-Term Development Plan (LTDP-1) to enhance field production, National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), ADNOC’s procurement contractor in Abu Dhabi, turned to Amarinth for its extensive knowledge of ADNOC specifications.
