Xylem Inc. announced the divestiture of its Wolverhampton, United Kingdom-based valves business, Xylem Flow Control Limited, to Rotork plc, a leading actuator manufacturer and flow control company, for approximately U.S. $30 million (£18 million). [Previously reported as U.S. $25 million].

Alfa Laval has completed the acquisition of Frank Mohn AS, following approval from competition authorities. The acquisition, which adds marine and offshore pumping systems, represents a significant business opportunity as it further strengthens Alfa Laval’s position as a provider of critical systems for marine and offshore oil and gas production units.

On June 13, Sulzer agreed to acquire both Grayson Armature businesses—Grayson Armature Large Motor Division, Inc. (Houston) and Grayson Armature Orange Texas, Inc.—for an enterprise value of USD 42 million (CHF 38 million). Through this acquisition, Sulzer will become one of the largest independent providers of electromechanical services in the Houston bay area.

Franklin Electric Co., announced that it has acquired Bombas Leão S.A., based in Monte Azul Paulista, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bombas Leão designs, manufactures, and distributes submersible groundwater pumping equipment through manufacturing facilities in Monte Azul Paulista, Teresina and a distribution facility in Recife. In 2013 Bombas Leão net revenues were approximately BRL 67 million or about US$ 30 million.

The Gorman-Rupp Company announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, National Pump Company, has completed its purchase of the business of Bayou City Pump, Inc. based in Houston, Texas. During 2013, BCP had approximately $16 million in revenue from sales of its products and services through its Houston, Texas headquarters and its service facility location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The terms of the asset purchase agreement are undisclosed.

Atlas Copco’s U.S.-based Quincy Compressor LLC has agreed to acquire the compressor business of National Pump & Compressor Ltd. and McKenzie Compressed Air Inc. in the United States.

Baker Hughes Incorporated announced the acquisition of Perfomix, Inc., a Texas-based oilfield software technology company focused on solutions to enhance oil and gas operations performance.

Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS), a provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced it has sold its Naval OY business unit including its all-welded ball valve product line to Finnish valve manufacturer, Vexve OY.

Weatherford International Ltd. and Baker Hughes Incorporated announce that they have signed an agreement for the sale of Weatherford s pipeline and specialty services business to a subsidiary of Baker Hughes for a total consideration of $250 million, including $241 million in cash and $9 million in retained working capital. The sale is part of Weatherford s previously announced plan to divest its non-core businesses.

On February 2, 2014, Sulzer signed an agreement for the acquisition of a 75% stake in Saudi Pump Factory with Nabil Al Hashim, the owner and founder of the company.
