Wilo Celebrates Manufacturing Day in South Georgia

Wilo USA celebrated Manufacturing Day at its Thomasville, Georgia plant on October 3, 2014. Manufacturing Day brings together individual manufacturers and local dignitaries to collectively address common U.S. manufacturing concerns and challenges, as it related to the local community.

Kicking off the celebration were local dignitaries: Congressman Austin Scott, Councilman David O. Lewis, representative Darlene K. Taylor and Director of Thomasville Development Authority, Shelley Zorn. Chris Perkins, Director of Operation at Wilo USA welcomed the dignitaries and local manufacturing companies. Particularly, he pointed out the characteristics of the region, the local pool of talented employees, the aggressive local economy that provides growth and stability to the region and continues to help shape the future of South Georgia and discussed the day’s activities, including plant tours.

The day continued with an invocation from Councilman David O. Lewis followed by Terry Rouse, Retired President & CEO of Wilo USA, and Congressman Scott. Tim Ruppert, Managing Director, provided the logistics for the luncheon and tours.
