“Antofagasta complements our global network of service centers. We will provide our customers with strong operational support and leading application knowledge to help them meet their continuously intensifying productivity, safety, and sustainability targets,” says Sami Nousiainen, Head of MRO and Services business at Valmet’s Flow Control business line.

The new service center will handle the full scope of flow control services, including replacements and maintenance of valves, pumps, and third-party equipment. It will enable agile delivery of critical spare and wear parts as well as digital tools and expert services for the entire product and plant life cycle. The service center also serves as a customer training facility.

“Over the years, we’ve systematically expanded our flow control installed base and solution offering for the mining and metals industry in the region. The new facility allows us to better respond to the growing demand for customer support as well as drive our expansion in minerals processing. From Antofagasta, our service teams will be close to customer operations in Chile and in Peru,” adds Fabio Maia, Head of the South & Central America Area at Valmet’s Flow Control business line.
