Effective, sustainable and responsible fish farms management is of a fundamental importance as fish farms are one of the main pillars of these Nations.

For this reasons the main Aquaculture Industries have entrusted the Italian quality of Rovatti pumps for the technical administration of their plants and facilities. Most of these Companies are employed in salmon farming, obviously using a large number of centrifugal pumps for different tasks.

Salmon is bred for a long time in freshwater, taken from rivers or subsoil, and in this case the Rovatti close-coupled electric pumps MNE series are used to feed the tanks that contain the fish. The function of the plant is also to keep the water temperature constant: in fact heat exchangers are also installed to convey hot water coming from the subsoil in order to mix it with cold water. MNE pumps are also used to supply water oxygenation systems, as both the liquid temperature and the level of oxygen affect the hunger and therefore the growth of the fish.

In the final phase the salmon are moved to tanks containing sea water, pumped by wells near the coast and where Rovatti borehole Extreme pumps are installed (MNE pumps are also used to pump sea water).Everything is constantly monitored by sophisticated electronic equipment and the plant manager can check all of these operations in real time from his office, intervening immediately in case of breakdowns or other necessities.

In one of the most recent projects Rovatti Pompe has provided:

N°4 16EX-1000 Extreme: 16” electric borehole pumps entirely manufactured with lost wax AISI 316 investment casting technology - 10” stainless steel electric motors (130 kW) - Capacity 1080 m3/h - Head 60 m;

N°6 12EX3 Extreme: 12” electric borehole pumps entirely manufactured with lost wax AISI 316 investment casting technology - 8” stainless steel electric motors (45 kW) - Capacity 450 m3/h - Head 50 m;

Dozens of: MNE (with different hydraulic dimensions and motor powers): Horizontal electric pumps coupled to IEC standard electric motors by rigid coupling and pump body in compliance with EN733 standards. All equipped with mechanical seal and microcasted stainless steel impeller (in order to pumping with extremely efficiency and reliability also an aggressive fluid like sea water).
