Pump Manufacturer Bungartz Achieves Best Result in 2020

In the company’s almost 75-year history, the balance sheet for the 2020 pandemic year has never looked better. With a result of €10.7 million the pump manufacturer is able to continue with its positive development. The largest single order worth more than €1 million from the Asian region made a significant contribution to the excellent result for 2020.

“Almost from the beginning of the pandemic we were able to operate successfully thanks to our comprehensive hygiene concept. My thanks go above all to the employees at both locations. Due to the rapid implementation of digital measures and the commitment of each individual, we are ideally protected,” explains Frank Bungartz. The grandson of the founder joined the family business in 1999 and can now look back on 15 successful years as the Chief Executive Officer. –

The pumps, which are also known as problem-solvers, are manufactured in Euskirchen-Stotzheim as individual items or small batch series. Within this context, the focus was on sustainability during the construction of a new production hall. In addition to a drainage system for the roof areas, in which the surface water is discharged into a separate drainage ditch without incurring any costs, the photovoltaic generator system that was installed at a later time pays for itself.

The globally active company is also cautiously optimistic for 2021, especially as the intrinsically safe pumps are also becoming increasingly important for forward-looking processes thanks to their outstanding properties. The comparatively long to very long service lives prove to be extremely sustainable from the very beginning.
