Pentair Completes Transaction to Acquire Manitowoc Ice

On November 28th, 2024, the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues took place with the topic “Reshaping Our Cities – Urban Water Resilience”. The event attracted almost 700 registered participants from 73 countries and, with the participation of numerous international experts, made it clear that sustainable water management is of greatest importance worldwide.

The Wilo Group has presented the Ecolution Award for the first time. This award honours efficient, reliable, environmentally friendly and therefore pioneering projects in water management. As part of the exclusive award ceremony at the Wilopark, four outstanding projects from Switzerland, China, India and the UK were recognised.

Pentair plc, specialized in helping the world sustainably move, improve and enjoy water, life’s most essential resource, announced that it has acquired Florida-based G&F Manufacturing, LLC for approximately $108 million in cash at closing, subject to certain adjustments. The acquisition is expected to be modestly accretive to Pentair earnings in 2025. G&F Manufacturing, LLC manufactures and services heat pumps for pools under the Gulfstream brand in the Southeast portion of the United States.

NORMA Group intends to focus even more strongly on its core business joining technology. The Management Board decided to initiate a divestment process for the global business activities of the strategic business unit Water Management.

After 18 years of successful work, Dr. Andreas Kämpf left the Steinhagen-based pump manufacturer at the end of October. With his creativity and his instinct for attention-grabbing campaigns, as well as his openness to new communication channels and technologies, he has contributed significantly to the development and success of the brand and the company. Kämpf symbolically passed the well-known U3K pump on as a baton to his successor Gunnar Wippersteg.

The BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues are set to return on November 28, 2024, with a focus on “Urban Water Resilience”. International experts and key decision-makers from research, industry, and policy will converge online to explore pioneering approaches for resilient urban water systems as climate change demands a comprehensive rethinking of grey, blue, and green infrastructure.
