EagleBurgmann sales rose to 806.3 million euros in the past business year (prior year: 765.8 million euros). The foreign share of sales amounted to 85 %, 15 % were achieved on the domestic market. The number of employed personnel was 5,771 (prior year: 5,908) on December 31, 2015. Mr. Chaudhari has been actively involved with CII for more than a decade where he spearheaded Biofuels movement in India. He has been the Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Bio-Energy continuously for four years since 2013.
Orders from the power, water, and general industry markets improved, whereas headwinds in the oil and gas market remained significant. Order intake in the first quarter 2016 declined by 13.1% on a currency-adjusted basis compared with the same period of the previous year. However, it improved by 10.2% compared with the fourth quarter 2015.
