Japan Appointed As New Country Partner of the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2026
In 2024, Italy’s exports to Japan reached €47 million, marking a 10.8% increase compared to the previous year, according to data from the ANIMA Confindustria Statistical Office (Federation of Italian Associations of Mechanical Engineering Manufacturers).
In light of these developments, RX Italy has selected Japan—the Land of the Rising Sun—as the “Country Partner” for the upcoming March 2026 edition of MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort.
“In Japan, the ongoing migration from rural to urban areas is driving increased investment in housing, commercial construction, and industrial infrastructure,” emphasized Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of RX Italy. “This trend underscores the growing demand for HVAC+R technologies in new buildings, positioning Japan as one of the most promising foreign markets for Italy. This is evidenced by the remarkable growth at our exhibition, with Japanese visitor numbers and exhibiting companies increasing by 243% and 200%, respectively.”
The selection of Japan as the Country Partner reflects the rising interest among Italian manufacturers in the Japanese market and, conversely, the growing appreciation of Italian manufacturing as a hub of technological excellence by Japanese stakeholders. The MCE Country Partner initiative is designed to foster connections between exhibiting companies and key decision-makers from emerging international markets.
This program includes pre-fair activities such as official meetings supported by both Italian and Japanese institutions, alongside events, initiatives, and seminars hosted during the fair, scheduled for March 24–27, 2026.
The project has already secured formal approval and cooperation commitments from the Italian Embassy in Tokyo and ICE Tokyo, as well as from the Embassy of Japan in Italy, the Consulate General of Japan in Milan, and JETRO Milan.
