New Direction at Parker Hannifin BeLux in Nivelles

After more than 12 years of dedicated service to Parker Hannifin BeLux, Frans Heirbaut, General Manager, retired on June 30th.

During his professional career of 41 years, Frans Heirbaut held several positions, including Product Manager, Marketing Director Europe and Vice President, within companies located in France and the Netherlands. Since November 2001, Frans Heirbaut was the General Manager of the Sales Company Parker Hannifin BeLux in Nivelles.

Since Frans Heirbaut’s retirement, Eddy Vanswijgenhoven has taken over responsibility for all the Sales Company BeLux activities and personnel attached to the Nivelles location.

Eddy Vanswijgenhoven joined Parker in 2004 with the acquisition of Advanced Products NV in Boom, where he had held the position as the Engineering and Quality Manager for 3 years. Prior to that, he held several job positions ranging from Research Engineer to Project Manager at several universities and private companies, both in North America and Belgium. In 2006, Eddy Vanswijgenhoven was promoted Business Unit Manager PTFE within the Packing Division Europe with responsibility for operations located in Belgium, Denmark and the Czech Republic. In 2009, he was promoted to General Manager of the Packing Division Europe (800 employees over 5 sites in Europe), taking additional responsibility for locations in Germany and the UK.
