Marcus Ketter to Continue as CFO of GEA until 2027

The international technology company GEA moved into its new corporate headquarters in the “maxfrei” urban district in Düsseldorf-Derendorf. GEA previously occupied three buildings in Düsseldorf’s Airport City. Bringing all central functions and parts of the divisional and country organizations under one roof marks an important step toward greater cross-functional collaboration, shorter distances, and a corporate culture built on dialogue, personal responsibility, and openness.

This year, NORD celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Nowa Sól production site. The foundation in 2005 was part of a global development strategy to increase the company’s operational flexibility and strengthen its presence in the Central and Eastern European markets. Poland is the third-largest sales market for NORD in Europe.

GEA made a successful start to fiscal year 2025. The company once again recorded profitable growth in the first quarter. With increases in order intake and revenue as well as improvements in key profitability and financial indicators, GEA has laid a strong foundation for the full year.

GEA looks back on a strong fiscal year and provides a positive outlook for 2025. The technology group, which focuses on mechanical and plant engineering, raised its margin guidance for EBITDA before restructuring expenses twice in 2024 and achieved its 2026 financial targets two years ahead of schedule.

GEA, a global plant and mechanical engineering company, has received the highest accolade, the Platinum Status, in the renowned EcoVadis sustainability assessment. With its score, GEA now ranks among the top one percent worldwide of assessed companies in 2024.

GEA has supplied six GEA biosolids Decanter prime 8000 dewatering decanters for the West Delta Wastewater Treatment Plant in Egypt. The state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant can treat up to 7,5 million cubic meters of sewage sludge daily. According to the Guinness Book of Records, this makes it the largest in the world in terms of size and treatment capacity.
