Lutz-Jesco Acquires FXM Line of Peristaltic Pumps from Valmet

Valmet has been awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the company among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Valmet’s overall score was 82/100, six points higher than last year. The result places the company among the top two percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, bringing the company even closer to its goal, the Platinum Medal.

When it comes to dosing different fertilizers, Spanish filling and packaging specialist Maquienvas was discontent with their electromagnetic and mass flow meters. They therefore turned to NETZSCH, who recommended PERIPRO peristaltic pumps specifically for this application that requires handling abrasive, corrosive and organic fluids.

Nutrient deficiencies, over-fertilisation and crop losses: many greenhouses struggle due to inaccurate nutrient supply and fluctuating water quality. Lutz-Jesco will be demonstrating what you can do about this at Agritechnica in Hanover. On display: a dosing pump from the Magdos series and the Minichlorgen T chlorine electrolysis system.

Valmet has received an order to deliver a comprehensive replacement of plant DCS and turbine control systems at the Ennatuurlijk’s combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in Helmond, the Netherlands. The modernization project will enhance the plant’s operational efficiency, reliability, and safety, while ensuring stable combined heat and power (CHP) production. The project also supports the company’s long-term commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.

Whether for disinfecting process water, bleaching textiles or manufacturing primary materials such as PVC: chlorine gas is central to a range of industrial processes. This important chemical is also highly dangerous, and even small quantities of chlorine gas can cause irreversible damage to human health. It is therefore of vital important that users are not required to combine components from different manufacturers, thereby risking compatibility problems.

Valmet has signed a nationwide agreement with Petrobras (Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.), the largest energy company in Brazil. The agreement covers the supply of spare parts of Neles valves, actuators, and positioners across all Petrobras operational units, including oil and natural gas exploration, production, refining, commercialization, and power generation.
