Resource conservation is one of the major challenges facing industries today, and Latty has developed the LATTYlub range of auxiliary systems to reduce water and energy consumption while increasing equipment lifespan.
The auxiliary systems in the LATTYlub range allow for the control and monitoring of the servo-control of sealing systems, maintaining pressure, thermoregulating, and lubricating them across various sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paper industries, and many others—particularly in the fields of nuclear energy and hydroelectricity.
The features of the LATTYlub range enable the optimization and reduction of water and energy consumption. By reducing the risk of leaks and emissions, LATTYlub equipment helps protect both the environment and personnel. It also extends the lifespan of sealing systems, contributing to more sustainable installations.
The auxiliary systems are compatible with all models and types of single or double mechanical seals mounted on process pumps, reactors, filter dryers, and similar equipment.
A wide range covering many applications
The LATTYlub Pot lubrication reservoirs can regulate and control the pressure and temperature in double mechanical seals and agitator housings, improving the service life of this equipment. This ready-to-use system protects personnel and equipment while extending maintenance intervals between interventions. Its closed-loop use drastically reduces dam circuit consumption.
The LATTYlub Flowcontrol flow controller is designed for applications requiring an uninterrupted flow of water to ensure the cooling and lubrication of sealing systems. It also optimizes water consumption by detecting and locating faults in sealing systems. Monitoring is simplified with a visual flow indicator or the installation of a sensor. At the customer's request, various configurations in materials, ergonomics, and design can be implemented to ensure the equipment withstands high pressures and temperatures.
The LATTYlub Thermoflow thermostatic actuator is installed at the barrier fluid outlet of double mechanical seals to maintain the optimum fluid quantity on the sealing faces. By allowing the fluid to be renewed when the temperature in the mechanical seal rises too high, it drastically reduces the fluid consumption required for cooling. This entirely mechanical system is unaffected by pressure variations. It is preset to a chosen temperature and operates at up to 120°C, depending on the model.
The LATTYlub Gascontrol controller-regulator is a supply system for seals requiring a gas supply. Its cooling action guarantees the integrity of the system, and the gas barrier prevents product emissions into the atmosphere. It optimizes the flow of air, nitrogen, or other gases, monitors system efficiency, and protects the equipment from the risk of the seal deterioration in place.
Tested, reliable equipment
The new LATTYlub auxiliary systems range is part of GROUPE LATTY's research and development policy, to which it devotes an average of 5% of its annual turnover. GROUPE LATTY products meet stringent requirements, from design to manufacture, including rigorous test phases carried out in its in-house test laboratory at the plant in France or in collaboration with external organizations and institutes. Latty's technical teams handle the installation and maintenance of the equipment on-site. The equipment is pre-tested and validated at the factory, ensuring safe commissioning. In this way, the Latty Group has guaranteed total reliability to its industrial customers for over a century.
