Kemira Launches a New Polymer with Exceptional Dewatering Performance

10.05.2017

Kemira, a global chemicals company serving customers in water intensive industries, is launching a new high performance cationic flocculant, specifically engineered for sludge dewatering applications.

The Kemira Superfloc XD-7600 polymer is designed to help customers decrease their Total Cost of Ownership through more efficient sludge handling, including freight and disposal costs. The dry product also minimizes storage and transport costs. XD-7600 significantly improves cake solids and filtrate quality compared to conventional cationic polymers and is effective at low dosage levels.

“After several full-scale trials at various wastewater treatment plants, I’m pleased to say this product shows exceptional dewatering performance in liquid-solid separations with a wide range of sludge conditions,” says Wido Waelput, Senior Vice President at Kemira. “This is the first one in a range of innovative premium polymers we are launching this year, thanks to our intensive R&D work in very close collaboration with our customers.”
