10.10.2012

Local and international trade associations are giving strong support to the premiere of Ifat India, which takes place from October 24 to 26, 2013, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai.

Dr. Amiya Kumar Sahu, President of the National Solid Waste Association of India (NSWAI), comments: "I know Ifat Entsorga in Munich very well and I am sure that Ifat India will also establish itself as a successful event." At international level, too, Messe München’s move into India is welcomed. Dr. Armin Vogel, Chairman of the German Recycling Technologies and Waste Management Partnership Association e.V. (RETech): "The Indian environmental market needs holistic solutions, and Ifat India covers all the sectors relevant to that market. This makes it the ideal trade show for environmental solutions." Also positive in his comments is Johannes Lohaus, Managing Director of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V. – DWA): "As a conceptual sponsor of the sector’s leading international trade fair, Ifat Entsorga, a role we have played right from the start of that event, we are confident that Messe München is making the right step at the right time for the sector by launching Ifat India."

Ifat India’s other international partners are the European Water Association (EWA), the Bundesvereinigung der Firmen im Gas- und Wasserfach (FIGAWA), the Umweltcluster Bayern, the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA), the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Public Health (StMUG) and the Verband Deutscher Rohr- und Kanal-Technik-Unternehmen (VDRK).

The application documents for Ifat India will be ready for dispatch at the end of October 2012. The forms will also then be available for download from the show’s website. The deadline for receipt of applications is July 15, 2013. Further information can be requested at any time by e-mail.
