The recognition comes from the Manufacturing Leadership Council, a division of the National Association of Manufacturers.

Greene Tweed’s internal video “Digital Transformation at Greene Tweed with Smart Factory” was selected as a winner in the category Transformational Cultures. This category honors organizations that have reimagined traditional manufacturing organizational cultures to create one that is agile, empowered, diverse, and data-driven, with demonstrated leadership in employee recruiting, retention, and/or engagement.

In addition, two Greene Tweed employees were selected for awards in Digital transformation Leadership: Matthew Fabrizio, Manager of Smart Factory Transformation at Greene Tweed, and Ethan Hill, Manager of Operations Enterprise Applications at Greene Tweed. This recognizes that both Greene Tweed employees demonstrated excellence in their commitment to digital technology leadership to drive transformational change in their companies.

Greene Tweed has embraced digital transformation through data-enabled innovation and automation, which allows the company to increase throughput without increasing overhead, all while ensuring quality. Ultimately, this leads to sustainable, profitable growth, productivity gains, as well as cost savings.

This initiative, known as “The Right FITTTM advances factory innovation and technology transformation. Another major aspect of this initiative is the convergence of information technology and operations technology. This IT-OT data integration is what allows the smart factory to connect and integrate all its processes while enabling real time monitoring.

“Embracing digital transformation to transition our manufacturing facilities into smart factories is what will allow Greene Tweed to become a major player in the fourth industrial revolution,” affirms Fernando Torres, Vice President, Operations at Greene Tweed, Inc.

Greene Tweed will be recognized at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, which will take place on June 29, 2022, at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida. The gala is the closing event for Rethink: The Manufacturing Leadership Council Summit.
