On August 1, EBARA launched the CP Hydrogen Business Project under the direct control of the President. The main theme of this project covers the field of aerospace technology. With the progress of the modern information society, many companies are starting to develop rockets for launching satellites. We have a long experience in technical support of a turbopump for rockets in cooperation with external agencies. In addition, the team that won a prize in "E-Start 2020", the internal competition for new business ideas in 2020, proposed a business idea in the field of aerospace technology. After the idea has been tested for commercialisation, it will finally be realised by the CP Hydrogen Business Project.
The Aerospace Research Centre of the Muroran Institute of Technology (APReC) has opened its Space Project Co-Creation Laboratory to foster industry-academia partnerships in the development of rockets at the university. EBARA dispatched two engineers in September this year to begin joint development of a turbopump for "ZERO", a rocket for launching ultra-compact satellites that IST is currently developing. The goal is to launch ZERO in 2023.
For EBARA, the joint development of a turbopump is a strategic step towards entering space technology. In the meantime, products in the field of space transportation infrastructure will continue to be developed and contribute to the development of a prosperous lifestyle, one of the goals of E-Vision 2030, EBARA's long-term vision. The EBARA Group aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing the key issues identified in its long-term vision and implementing the medium-term management plan to increase shareholder value.
