EBARA Pumps Europe Sponsors Water Project in Kenya

In line with EBARA's long-term "E-Vision 2030", the company will help create a world with sufficient food and water, especially in countries that will experience population growth and economic development. The goal is to provide water to 6 hundred million people around the world. By assisting Boreal Light with water supply in Kenya, EBARA will gain knowledge about the water supply business in Africa.
Boreal Light is a Berlin-based company specializing in renewable energy solutions for water treatment plants. The company designs and manufactures affordable solar water desalination systems for off-grid communities around the world. The systems manufactured by Boreal Light are capable of delivering high quality hygienic drinking, irrigation, fish farming and sanitary water from all types of highly saline and polluted water resources. EPE is sponsoring Boreal Light to set up a solar water desalination plant with pumps from EPE in Kenya starting July 12. The project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water for a school for disabled children and local communities in Machakos, a town not far from Nairobi.
