Ebara Holds Pump and Chiller Seminar in Vietnam

Ebara Corporation held the Ebara Hatakeyama Memorial Fund Pump and Chiller Technology Seminar for two days on March 26 and 27, 2019 at the Vietnam - Japan Institute for Human Resources Development (VJCC) in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. This is the 8th seminar at VJCC and the 47th seminar in Vietnam.

Ebara has developed mutual understanding between Japan and other countries through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the Ebara Hatakeyama Memorial Fund was established in 1989, more than 270 seminars took place globally with more than 13,000 participants in total. In Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, where the last seminar was held,

construction of high buildings and development of infrastructure such as water, waste water, and flood prevention facilities are proceeding rapidly. There are also growing demands for air conditioning equipment at commercial facilities and office buildings as well as cooling facilities used in production processes at plants.

The seminar included lectures on basic knowledge of pumps and chillers, basic planning for pumping stations and operation control of facilities. Many people from construction companies, manufacturing companies, who works in related industries for pumps and chillers, and lecturers at engineering universities attended, and asked questions based on their experiences at work.

In addition to providing products and services such as pumps, Ebara will contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries through international cooperation activities including technical seminars. In FY 2019, Ebara plans eight seminars in Thailand and Vietnam etc.
