Background
The Cabinet Office of Japan awards decorations, including Medals of Honor, to individuals in recognition of their services to the nation or public. The Medal with Blue Ribbon is awarded to those who have contributed to the public interest over many years, especially in industry, education, and medical care.
Reason for the award
The award was conferred in recognition of the following achievements:
- Contributions to the development of industry
- Contributions to the development of the company's business (contributions to the launch and development of the CMP business)
- Distinguished service to the development of the semiconductor industry as Chairman of the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ)
