€250,000 Pump Order to Spain

17.06.2003

Spanish pump hire company, ABIN, has recently placed an order for €250,000 worth of pumps from Selwood. Based in La Coruna, Northern Spain, ABIN is looking to expand its hire operation and the pumps bought are largely the new range that Selwood launched at the beginning of the year.

Among others these include eight site and skid Seltorques, three high flow SA pumps, hydraulic submersible pumps as well as four of the new super silent range which are probably the quietest on the market with noise levels from as low as 62db(A) at 7 metres.

ABIN is also Selwood's agent for Spain and as ABIN managing director Angel Rodriguez Mera explained, "Being a distributor for Selwood it obviously made sense to buy Selwood pumps. However, this is the largest single investment we have made and I would not have bought from Selwood had I not believed that these pumps were the best on the market."

Selwood and ABIN had a joint stand at the Pollutec exhibition held in Barcelona in March. This is the first time the company has attended this particular exhibition for waste management and it proved highly successful with many enquiries taken in what turned out to be a very busy and popular event.

Multi-Purpose Actuator Enables Ball Valve to Open and Close Automatically

02.05.2024 -

A major southern grow operation needed a valve to open and close automatically on a series of remote fertigation pipelines. The lines were in a location where compressed air and electricity were both unavailable and impractical. It was essential to have the valve close whenever the water supply dropped below operational pressure, to prevent the percentage of nutrients from exceeding safe levels and harming the crop.
